ORIGINS OF ACO FOUNDATION

Augustinian Community(ACO) Foundation is a non-profit making organization registered under section 10 of the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act in the republic of Kenya in the year 2016 as OP.218/051/16-059/10393. Augustinian Community Foundation is a growth from Augustinian Community Self Help Group which is equally a non-profit membership group founded and registered in Kenya in the year 2012 as KJD/N/SHG/1802794/12 . The self-help group was formed by the founders and some members of St. Augustine’s Ombmor High School in Ong’ata Rongai-Kajiado County in collaboration with some friends of the school. Hence the terms “Augustinian Community” means members of Saint Augustine’s Ombmor High School and their friends. Its membership includes Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan. The main aim of the Foundation is to promote environmental protection and natural resources conservation in East Africa and later in the whole of Africa.
